I just got back from art camp at BJU. It was so much fun. I got four pictures finished -- two pencil drawings (one a still life and the other a portrait of our model, Ms. Green), a water color painting, and an aquatint. Aquatinting was my favorite class of the three.
I'm so tired.
I'm going to kidnap Ri and whisk her away to my place tomorrow. Bwaha!

Why not a better time to introduce oneself? From another magnolia opposite of Fritz stood a large, well-muscled female, her golden eyes sparkling with unknown emotion. Oh, how Lupus enjoyed magnolias. They were so pretty, so vibrant, but also had that unqiue... simplicity, was it? It was difficult to describe, or even try to make use of the small white flowers. All she knew was that the magnolias were giving her a paveway. Of course, Lupus's tail wagged at the prospect of seeing her old friend and co-partner, Fritz. It had been a while since they shared a small moment to discuss and plan together. Maybe, she thought, we could do just that. Without even knowing this Samoyed fellow, Lupus felt a deep gratitude for him being there, just so she could finally share some methods, with Fritz there to retaliate. Padding up to stand beside the greyhound, Lupus eyed the male, observing quietly. She recognixed that glazed dull look. It was a look she had carried for some time, seeking out help to seek the end of the Death Stalker reign, to step all over those who made her life so miserable from the time she left her Family. It was her quest for revenge that molded the Rebellion. But revenge was no more her heart. It was a dangerous look, and Lupus looked back at Fritz without barking to figure out if he had recognized it too. She came up closer to him, looking straight into his hard eyes. "If you want a point, I'll give you one. I've seen that hatred before in the eyes of... of another, just like you. Let me give you a warning: Revenge will not help this Rebellion." Lupus did not try to keep her and Fritz's leader identities a secret; this white dog must have already guessed. "You don't join the Rebellion to fight. You should be joining for peace." |

So.... I'm thinking about making a Rillo fursuit. Mm-hm. Yeah. I don't know how to do the head or where to get the stuff for it, so I'm going to be looking around for a while trying to figure it out. It looks like on a lot of costumes that the lower jaw is moveable -- I really want to figure that out.
Anyways, I want a realistic looking Rillo and I know that if I paid somebody to make it for me, they'd most likely get the nose wrong. Rillo is a rat, see, and 98 % of the population believe that rats have dog-type noses. They don't. So I'm going to make it myself. I saw a lot of cool things at Mixed Candy -- like realistic heads with super-cool realistic fur. It's not the patchwork stuff that you usually see, but it looks like it's been "painted" on. I'll probably send a note their way asking how they do the color fade like that...
I don't want a baggy suit, either. Something with a slight bulk, more on the hind legs than the rest, and no lumpy/cartoony paws. I don't know how that is going to work, but I don't like the cartoony paws. Nor cartoony eyes. I would do the realistic eyes where your eye actually shows, but Rillo has red eyes and I don't. So I'll have to have some sort of see-through type of stuff.

Yet, as life would have it, I'm leaving for two weeks and the first I won't be able to talk. I'm going to West Virginia to the mountains on a missions trip. I will send you my letter there.
